In this category you will find expert advice on EMS training. We provide interviews, statements, and explanations by EMS experts like trainers, scientists, athletes, and studio owners.
Here is some EMS training expert advice for you! Follow those tips, and your training success is soon to come:
1. Enough recovery is important!
It is crucial that you give yourself enough time to recover between your training sessions. If you overdo, the whole EMS training won’t do any good and there won’t be the success you wish for. Look to it that there are about four days of rest in between your EMS training sessions – that’s what most of the EMS training expert advice tells. But of course, it also depends on the individual.
2. Use low intensities!
If the intensity is too high, it will unnecessarily impede your recovery and decrease your performance. Possible consequences are muscle soreness, a temporary restriction of your range of motion, or overstraining. Especially newcomers should take it easy and start with low intensities.
3. Eat healthy!
When training with electrical muscle stimulation, it is also recommended to eat healthy which includes proteins, fats, and carbs. Your nutrition should depend on your individual training goals. For example, if you want to lose weight, you should always burn more calories than you gain. But if you want to build muscles, it is important to consume proteins after your workout. Many EMS studios and personal trainers offer to prepare a diet plan for you. Make use of that and benefit from their EMS training expert advice!
